Charcoal Remedies Book - everything you could ever want to know , a thousand and one applications !
by author John Dinsley.
In a day when the fourth leading cause of death in America is due to adverse effects of properly prescribed drugs (Journal of American Medical Association - July 2000), many are asking, "Are there not safer alternatives?" Yes there are!!!
Allow me to introduce you to one extraordinary yet simple natural remedy - Activated Medicinal Charcoal.
Charcoal Remedies book is a book about charcoal.
Charcoal is history, it is poetry and art and it is science. Much more than this, charcoal is cleansing and healing for man and nature. Charcoal is a universe within a universe, and it is waiting for an invitation to yours. My acquaintance with this most unlikely of medicinal remedies was by surprise. Yours will be by design.
In 1897, health reformer E. White wrote, “I expect you will laugh at this; but if I could give this remedy some outlandish name that no one knew but myself,it would have greater influence.” After all these years of knowing and using “this remedy”, I find that this description of charcoal, better than anything else I could say, sums up the enigma of this lustreless all-time gem of medicine.
When I checked out from my “higher education” thirty odd years ago, shouldered my backpack and stuck out my thumb, I had my sights on the other side of my world. I was not alone. In the midst of the hippie era I met many young people my age crisscrossing the continents and oceans. I didn’t reach my destination, but I did find what I was unconsciously looking for.
The 1970s were a time of exploration, of both outer and inner space. The notion that our persons were integrated dimensions and not just separate loose bolts was for many of us a welcome step back from the technocracy that seemed to reduce everyone to mere cogs in a giant wheel.
Amongst all the movements during that era, there was a return to “mother earth”, the more hands-on the better, including organic gardening, vegetarianism, herbs, natural fibre clothing, and holistic healing. So, when I wandered into a small medical clinic in Guatemala and discovered all that and more in a nutshell, well, I felt my spirit had found a safe harbor.
What I never expected to discover was how simple achieving good health can be, and how simple the remedies can be to repair broken health. And, if someone had told me that the cold remains of one of my many campfires held the antidote for hundreds, yes thousands of the world’s ills, well, considering my frame of mind, I would probably have said, “far out!”
This book is first about that most unlikely of remedies, charcoal. The great Roman scientist Pliny wrote almost two thousand years ago: “It is only when ignited and quenched that charcoal itself acquires its characteristic powers, and only when it seems to have perished that it becomes endowed with greater virtue.” But how would I have known that the very science and technology I was turning my back on, would, by the end of the 20th century, be absolutely and critically dependant on black dust? From Emergency Rooms to living rooms, from outer space to the bottoms of the oceans, from vegetable oils to cosmetics, from silk to art, from dialysis machines to kitchen water filters, from halitosis to haemorrhoids, from camels to roses, and from the living to the dead, charcoal touches each of us in hundreds of ways, every single day of our lives. How could I have been so unaware for so long?
I have been urged upon to include a disclaimer. I could only hope that those who read these pages will use the information wisely. I could only wish the application of charcoal, or the other remedies mentioned, would, in every instance, always bring about the effect desired. But I have learned there are also priceless lessons in pain and suffering and waiting, and God is too wise to err. I would therefore caution those of you who are prone to leap before you look, to take time before a crisis arises, to learn as much as possible about the bodies and minds you have been made stewards of. Then, knowing the science, apply the remedies with the seed of faith. John Dinsley
Activated Charcoal – a thousand and one applications
From the dawn of civilization, man has had an intimate relationship with charcoal. As an indispensable tool of technology and as a medicinal, charcoal is used in numerous ways to make our lives more healthy. It purifies the water we drink, the air we breathe, and detoxifies the soil we grow our food in. As a medicinal, charcoal is used in virtually every hospital in the world on a daily basis, as it plays an increasingly significant role in maintaining restoring and enhancing man's level of health. From drug and food poisoning to kidney dialysis machines, to wound dressing to anemia of cancer, and much more, modem hospitals depend on the many uses of this most simple of remedies. These same benefits are also available to you. In a world being poisoned by its own near-sighted wisdom, God has provided man with a microscopic black hole big enough to swallow much of what ails us."
