There is much debate on which form of glucosamine is most desirable. There are two major forms of Glucosamine, the hydrochloride form and the sulphate form. The Hydrochloride form yields 83.1% glucosamine versus the sulphate form with 20% Potassium/sodium chloride that yields only 62.8% glucosamine. The American National Institute of Health (NIH) is using Glucosamine hydrochloride in its $US14 million study into glucosamine.
